Predictions are still the heart of FunRivals – but now, there’s something more!
We’re launching a new Game Mode that makes your prediction leagues more exciting, more intense, and more strategic.
How does it work?
We’ve added special effect cards to the game. With them, you can influence not only your own predictions but also your opponents’ – sometimes helping them, other times making things a bit tougher.
Cards are always dealt so they can affect no more than a quarter of all predictions – ensuring that the core of the competition stays in the actual predicting. The cards are the spice that adds extra tension and fun. 🌶️
And the best part – Game Mode is optional. When creating a tournament, you choose whether you want a classic prediction league or one with cards and extra strategy.
How to play?
In a tournament with Game Mode enabled, you’ll see a new button showing the list of played cards and their remaining count. You can also play a card by clicking on a match or on a user in the leaderboard. Cards can be used either on your own predictions or on opponents’ predictions, depending on which user you select.
Cards are automatically sorted, and you cannot play a card that isn’t allowed for the chosen user.
For each card, you’ll see exactly which effects it will apply. There’s also a full overview of all cards in the tournament details, so you’ll always know what each card can do.
And before joining a tournament, you’ll be informed if Game Mode is active – ensuring you always have a clear overview of what to expect.
Which cards are waiting for you?
👉 Enemy – subtracts points from an opponent, based on the value of the standard prediction for a winner.
👉 Friendly – doubles an opponent’s points, but rewards you with a Saver card.
👉 Saver – protection for your own prediction, cancelling negative effects of enemy cards.
👉 Joker – adds points to an opponent (if they already have some), based on the standard prediction value.
👉 Freezer – freezes an opponent’s prediction and wipes their points.
👉 Lucker – adds points to your prediction if you already scored.
👉 Multi – doubles your own score.
👉 Spy – lets you peek at opponents’ predictions and cards before the match starts.
And this is just the beginning!
We’ve got more cards ready in the drawer, to be revealed during bigger tournaments. Over time, we’ll expand Game Mode further – bringing you new ways to play, strategize, and surprise your rivals. 🚀
